Dmitry Svishchev about his election and about the future of Russian Curling Association
Dmitry Svishchev: there will be two main tasks for Russia Curling Association: the first – as much as possible wide development and curling popularisation in Russia; the second – victory of a men and women Russian national teams in Sochi-2014

«I have a wide experience of work in sports, realisations of various innovative projects – and is assured that I can benefit as the president of Russian Curling Association. It not any whim, I steadfastly watch for a long time this kind of sports, in last season have visited the European championship in Aberdeen and Olympics in Vancouver. After that even started to practice! I think that at due diligence and some luck I can apply for hit in a Russian national team on Olympic games in Sochi (laughs). Promotion of my nominee in presidents RCA – not the private initiative, and the decision of my team: present president of federation and the head coach of a Russian national team Olga Andrianova; her husband, the vice-president of federation Yuri Andrianov; head of Moscow Sport Sport Committee (Moskomsport) Michael Stepanyants and others.

Before federation there will be two main tasks. The first – as much as possible wide development, curling popularisation in Russia. The second – a Russian national team victory on Olympic games of 2014 in Sochi. Women? Why only the women? Both women, and men. I perfectly know that our men's team now acts not in an elite league (In this season, Russian Men's Team will play already in A-league of European Curling Championships). But attraction of foreign coaches which are carriers of the most advanced techniques; training of the Russian trainers; probably, naturalisation of several players – all it will allow our men's team to achieve a rapid progress».

«The system and parallel decision of two main tasks will allow to deduce the Russian curling on new, higher level of development, - has continued Dmitry Svishchev. - it is final, one invitation of foreign trainers and players all questions not to solve. It is necessary to improve material base of curling; to prepare not only players and trainers, but also other experts – for example, Icemakers... Generally, I have got used not to speak, and to operate (smiles). Therefore already has now undertaken a number of concrete steps. In a national team together with Olga Andrianova will work foreign coach-assistant. As sportsmen-demonstrators to Russia there will arrive three Canadians who in the future can just strengthen a men's team if so trainers solve. All names I will name a bit later (everyone already knew this names: Jason Gunnlaugson, Justin Richter and Tyler Forrest - Gunnlaugson heading to Russia to curl).

But already now I can tell, that exactly on June, 28th – in an election day of president RCA – in the centre of Moscow, in park "Festival" will open the specialised centre for employment by curling on four sheets which becomes base of preparation of Russian national teams. We have constructed its all for three months, using the advanced technologies of fast erection of constructions. Considering that nearby there is a fitness centre «New league», sportsmen will have an opportunity not only all-the-year-round to train on qualitative ice, but also to be engaged general trainigs in preparation under the direction of skilled coaches».
